Long ago, far away ...

..... I've seen Dianthus sylvestris in it's natural habitat, often on thin soils on grassy slopes and in exposed rocky places.  Good memories.  The plants I grow came as seed from an Austrian enthusiast many years ago.  They've self sown to make a little colony in the largely untended front garden .... growing wild you could say.

A morning of diy, attempting repair/replacement of faulty door handles.  Not much fun and only partial success :-/   An afternoon physio appointment for Jamie was mostly a talking shop, we await news after they consult the experts.  An hours restorative gardening before tea :-)
