The Peak District III

We went to Lyme Park today.  This is a national trust property in Cheshire famous for the lake scene with Colin Firth in Pride and Prejudice.  The house was closed but the gardens and cafe open. The gardens and lake are very impressive, creating a nice reflection in the good weather.

On the way we stopped off in Goyt Valley in the Peaks and had a walk along one of the many footpaths. We spotted this skylark along the way (see extra).

This evening we went out for a meal at a small Italian restaurant. Very nice.
