Weeding in the sunshine

We were back at Glencruitten today and within an hour or so our bed was pristine - see extra! After a picnic lunch we planted some chitted potatoes and gave them a good watering. Phew - it was hot there today!

There was nobody else there, and apart from someone hammering on the other side of the wall, no one would have guessed that we were only five minutes drive away from a packed Oban! The garden, although rather messy, is a sheltered suntrap and there are plenty of places to sit, in the sun and in the shade. Back again probably tomorrow afternoon to plant strawberries and maybe sow peas and carrots.
