Drought!

May, in virtually all of Sweden, was unseasonally warm and sunny. The little rain that fell came in the first few days of the month.  Most people were very happy with the long sunny and warm days. I swam (comfortably) in a lake towards the end of May, a personal record.
All this means it’s a month since we had any real rain. In the forest, especially where the soil is thin or where the rocks are covered in moss, it now looks really dry, turning brown.
It is still green in the garden but the grass is no longer growing (hooray) and even the lupins are smaller than usual.
There is a ban on watering the garden and a very serious ban on lighting fires or burning garden waste.
The forecast predicts a millimetre of rain here and there during the next week, but no real rain.  I am  mostly very happy if the dry weather continues, but I do realise that rain is needed by others. Let the rain come, but not on me!
