Burgh Island

This small island off the South Devon coast is home to the Burgh Island Hotel, an Art Deco establishment built in the 1920's. Agatha Christie is reputed to have written several novels there. Nearby is the Pilchard Inn one of the oldest in the country. The island, some 200 yards offshore is walkable at low tide and at other times is reached by a "sea tractor"
