At home: Can you guess what and who it is yet?

mmmmmmm........Hot pudding cake is one of those things my children will remember when they go off as adults and then return and say, "wheres the pudding cake and custard!?"

Its not even a special cake. Its a bung it in the bowl, whizz it with the very struggling and whirring old mixer and divide between 3 loaf tins. Loaf tins are the only tins we have. So they have become cake tins. But the 3 cake loaves became more useful than we intended over time. One to eat hot now, with cold custard! One for packed lunches and one for giving away or sharing. The latter seems to be snapped up by my mate, Toni who is now a pudding cake convert.

This is Marble cake, by the way. A disaster cake. It is this because it happened by accident one day when Ella failed to mix in the chocolate drinking powder properly. Its claggy, sticky and like dough in places. Oh and I like the patterns too! x
