Rodents rule

Our visitor was up and out the door and seated on The Mall by 8am to await the Queen’s birthday procession. She had a great view.

We met at lunchtime at St Pancras (after my lazy morning at home) and caught the train to Chilham. Unfortunately, our train door didn’t open at our stop so we ended up at Chartham for an hour. Our BnB host kindly offered to pick us up (after he’d stopped laughing at our door misfortune), but we were happy to have a wee explore before catching the next train going back to Chilham.

We’ve spent the rest of the day in the sun with a cream tea, a drink at the pub (with a husky under our table) and a walk over the River Stour. The poppy blipped was in a field that had a Neolithic long barrow.
