Bonfire night at Port Charlotte - Islay

A good crowd lined Main Street in Port Charlotte, Islay for the bonfire and fireworks. These fire festivals in November and again at Hogmanay have become big social events with folk coming together from all over the island. Bruichladdich had a lot of old pallets to dispose of in this instance - providing a big blaze - but sometimes people just build the fires with anything they don't need.
There were two 'Guys' tonight - one placed at the beginning and one at the end - but that is not always the case.
