Hellens garden festival

Rosie and I took off this morning for Herefordshire, along with two other members of our Stroud Learners' Circle (part of the WEA, Sort of). There were fourteen of us in total, bound for Hellens manor, in Much Marcle, where a garden festival was being held.

What a lot there was to see! This shot is from the sculpture trail, but I did not see all of it. Rosie toured the house, but I went to see a poetry performance instead. Spent the rest of the day running around like a collie between our group members, making sure all were ok. Having said that, there were two people I did not even see once! The event was busy, festive, and utterly delightful. I sampled cider, gooseberry ice cream, didn't get to the floral workshop but saw someone else's work from there, bought some cards and decided to go back to the house for a tour another day, along with WEA friends.

The weather stayed good all day, and the traffic was easy. On our return, we had supper in the garden.
