Thanks to my Dad’s advice I got my mitts on an antique Daguerreotype thermoplastic case - I had been ummmming and ahhhhing for a while and I was delighted to not only secure it for less than £10 but also to find that the damage with age was not as bad as I feared.
As if that wasn’t enough good fortune, my Victorian framed photo fits snuggly inside - it now looks as though they’d always been together. Maybe for a time they were ‘scattered’ apart in different parts of the world but finally the frame has a picture and the picture has a frame! antique karma.
The blip is a monoMonday shot of the case cover! It’s amazing to think how old it is!
