Howling Hector

Storm Hector, winds gusting up to 70mph, wasn’t going to distract a few hardy visitors trying to secure a glimpse of the dolphins off Chanonry Point today. It was hard to stand still, let alone hold a camera still and try and spot the dolphins. I had heard that often the best time to watch them were in stormy conditions, and they didn’t disappoint. Secured a few shots of their various parts, and  numerous images of sea, before the winds brought in the sheeting rain, and with no place to shelter, just accepted the inevitable drenching. D and R had walked out along the beach, I cycled, but it was hard work staying on the bike.

This afternoon, weather cleared but high winds remained and we went in search for the cave that is at the far point of Rossmarkie Bay - didn't make it as tide was still too high.

Tonight its Crofters Bistro, recommended to us as a great place to eat. Apparently owned by the son of Penelope Keith - and a bonus ( or not depending on if you liked the roles she played in the  The Good Life or To The Manor Born) is she has been spotted there too.
