High tide

... on Blakeney Quay.

Just behind where I was standing there's a plaque on the wall more than 2 metres above the ground showing the height of the tide in the great storm of December 2013.

Shortly afterwards, in January 2014, a US miltary helicopter crashed about two miles along the coast at Cley Eye caused by it flying into a flock of geese, killing the pilot and crewe of three.

The most severe effect of this evening's high tide is that someone's car is stranded in about six inches of water on the quayside car park.
