Long Winded

A blowy day - it seems the first for ages. Certainly the plants seem to have been caught unawares, suffering quite a walloping.
A meet up with the daughter for coffee and chinwag, a call in at Debenhams for a piece of travel luggage and home in time watch Robbie Williams, I mean Vladimir Putin open Russia 2018. After the Russians had popped a couple of goals in against the hapless Saudis I went off to peg up the walloped peas.
But the walloping hadn’t ended there as I got a call about a boat up on the breakwater. Well I knew it wasn’t mine, at least, but had to trot out and look to identify it. John McC’s nice Beneteau 345. He was whistled up and got a posse out to rescue it at 2:15am.
What else has been going on? Trump has unilaterally disarmed North Korea, Brexit shambles on, and the SNP storm out of Westminster in outrage/stunt depending on your viewpoint. Meanwhile, chez moi, acres of fringe/Book/film festival brochures are trawled. And I got tickets for the Rezillos at Summerhall!
