Butterfly Orchid

This morning the spaniel and I tried out a new walk that proved to be a real treat seeing eleven butterfly species and six types of orchid including this butterfly orchid (slightly past its best). I think its Lesser Butterfly Orchid judging from the length of the spurs but I could be wrong.

My butterfly species count has progressed to 31 species with the addition of Small Skippers.
