Wound up in Wexford

Grumpy Old Women

A day in the office, then a rather fraught journey home - the drive that usually takes about 20mins took nearly an hour - on the very day when I wanted to get home in good time.

We grabbed a quick meal (fish pie) then jumped back into the car to go into Norwich for a show.

We booked "Grumpy Old Women" because it stars (and was co-written by) Dillie Keane, from our favourite comedy group, Fascinating Aida.  After the first half, we were not enormously impressed - the humour had been laid on with a very broad brush, little finesse.  And then, no ice cream!  As the designated driver, gin was off the menu, and I really wanted an ice cream.

The second half was much better.  We had a good evening, and now I've got my gin.
