Open Season...

After a little light ribbing of a fb friend who claimed to have finished (and frozen) her entire supply of three dozen mincepies for the forthcoming Christmas Season I am passing the gauntlet of Festive Bakery out to all you blippers


A few of us are keeping a tally of our mincepies, just for poops and giggles. The regrets and recriminations come much later when no one's waistbands will fasten.

I did seek permission from the youngest in the household as normally all festive things are held over until after his birthday on the 12th, but his desire for a small crisp, crumbly buttery nugget of pastry encasing a rich fruity, spicy filling proved too much for him, and so Chez Cats&Dogs we are four dozen up on the MincePie tally 2012.

Now there's an Olympic medal I wish to have.


Oh and the ones with hearts on have marzipan in them too.
