Vipers Buglass

This is my favourite wild flower but I don't think I have ever seen it grow in such profusion before. It was more than a 'clump' of wildflowers but rather a large 'patch' growing on the edge of the John Muir  Woodland. In the dunes you usually only see one or two plants together.
