We visited my parent in law’s today to redo the paperwork for the power of attorney forms. The Office of the Public Guardian accepted the financial forms we did a few weeks ago but rejected the health and care ones owing to an ambiguous omission. They don’t allow you to just complete the incorrect page, you have to do it all again and pay half the charge again. At least I saved them the cost of a solicitor. I think I am an expert now. My father in law is 90 in a couple of weeks and my mother in law will be 88 very soon and completing forms causes them a lot of worry and angst.
