When Fergus went to Elphin

Cloudy again, with rain forecast and mentions of storm Hector.

We drove North to Elphin in the morning to have a look at the market which takes place there every Wednesday during the summer season. Also for more views of Suilven, and of Cul Mor. Spots of rain spoiled the idea of sitting outside at the cafe in Elphin, so instead we had a visit to Jan Kilpatrick's studio. She makes textile and mosaic art, and does workshops from time to time. We have been meaning to stop and meet her for quite a while.

On the way back to Ullapool we stopped at Ardmair. I played the podcast of Liz Lochead's Desert Island Discs for Apothecary7.

The forecast rain made an appearance so we had lunch from the Seafood Shack back in the holiday cottage then had a quiet afternoon. Apothecary7 did pop round to Cabinet at An Talla Solais and managed to buy an ink drawing by Charlotte Watters.
