Water Lily

We have loads of water lily flowers on the pond at work, I think it is possibly the most I have ever seen! We also have a really good number of Damselflies of at least 3 species which is brilliant too.
In the heat of the midday sun this Large red damselfly Pyrrhosoma nymphula was resting on the lily flower in such a photogenic way I couldn't resist taking a few shots, of which I felt this was the best as the camera did a good job with the white petals and for once got that part of the exposure correct. Sadly the damselfly was under exposed, but if I had thought I would have used fill flash......maybe tomorrow.
Anyway I have added another shot of a Blue-tailed damselfly Ischnura elegans as my extra, this time exposed correctly.
