Lucky finds

I found this beautiful Puss moth Cerura vinula larva on the way home from work today, while looking for something to blip.
I think it is probably the second to last instar, and was quite annoyed I picked the leaf it was sitting on and displayed the red streamers from it's twin tails just to let me know!! I wasn't put off though and brought it home to rear and photograph.
I found it on a goat willow that had been cut right down last year when the hedge was flailed, thus encouraging new growth this season, making me wonder if cutting hedgerows back is a better idea than I thought!
