Insect porn

Out all day with the South Lincolnshire Flora Group, recording plants around Branston. Though we were very interested to find Lesser Hawkbit in the mown lawns of the hotel, our attention was somewhat diverted by this mating pair of Narcissus Bulb Fly Merodon equestris. This furry bee mimic comes in several colour forms, two of which are shown here.
