Men at work

Another day, another set of workmen. This team are here to take moss off our roof. The old tiles had a lot of moss and lichen on them which can cause damage over the years. Some firms offered to remove it with a jet washer but we thought that sounded a bit drastic and we preferred the idea of this system of doing it by hand. By the end of the day the tiles were looking very clean. The men will be back tomorrow to do a minor repair on one of the chimneys.
I spent time this morning with the hose, watering the rose bushes one by one, giving them a good soaking. Everywhere is very dry and the garden that looked so lovely a week or two ago now looks rather forlorn.
