Appearing rooms

This popular water feature is back on the Southbank, complete with gleeful kids screaming when trapped by jets of water. It was hot enough at lunch that I quite fancied joining them and purposefully getting caught in an appearing 'wall'. Instead, I ate my sandwich on the rooftop garden and baked for a bit. I rang Fred who's booked a train up north for his June adventure. Exciting.

After work, we went for a walk around Streatham Common and Norwood Grove. There were a few squirrels about but not many birds. It's felt a bit oppressive all day with lots of folk complaining about headaches and being off-colour. Perhaps the birds felt the same.

The evening was rounded off with fish 'n' chips. The chip shop was very quiet due to the England football game. The punters had appeared at half-time, then disappeared again. Maybe the birds were also watching the match. We caught the last 15 minutes and saw the wining England goal. It was at that point when I realised the English team were wearing red and not white. Doh!
