Clematis

Another very late start to the day after another disturbed night's sleep due to MrM's painful hip.

Quite a productive day though, once we got going. MrM started to lay the floor in the 'Music room', and my job was to go in every 10 to 15 minutes to wipe off any excess glue from the flooring. And I managed to do a little work on the website in between times. He's done about half, and hopefully he'll get most of the rest done tomorrow. So glad that the room's almost finished - the summer seems to be passing us by while we're working on it.

MrM's playing with a ceilidh band at a wedding do this evening, and I've  indulged in an hour working in the courtyard, mostly tying up climbing roses. They're feisty beasts! Pleased that the clematis has some flowers on it - a couple of weeks ago, we thought it was dying off. Looks as though the slugs chomped their way through a couple of the stems, as the rest of the plant now seems quite healthy. Must remember to put out some of 'Dave's wine' in a bowl, and hopefully some more of the little blighters will drown in a boozy haze...
