Oldenburg

We went to the Zuid-Kennemerland national park just south of Haarlem in the hope of seeing the herd of European Bison that are there. Sadly as it was a bit dull and cool they were hiding somewhere away from the observation point; maybe another time. We then decided to head off to northern Germany and had an uneventful drive to Oldenburg where we stayed for the night. Having been in the haar at Haarlem it was somewhat different to arrive in Oldenburg where it was sunny and very warm (26 at 18:00). We had tea and cycled to town for a wander about. It’s a typical European city completely set up for cycling and a real joy to get about. The blip is taken in the Alt Stadt as we wandered about.
