Late Mountain Laurel

Beside our driveway, blipped when it was coming into full bloom three weeks ago (embarrassingly I thought it was an azalea, but my cousin fwv corrected me :)  In this image I'm amused by how the eye of the fly (upper right) matches the color scheme! 
A key World Cup match today:  Germany beat Sweden 2-1 with a goal in the last few seconds of five minutes of extra time, thus ensuring they'll control their own destiny in the final game of the group phase (they had lost to Mexico in their first game).
