Fischbach Butchers, Ottobeuren

An emergency Blip of sorts. Been very busy and have not been answering all your kind comments but hope to catch up soon - in advance thanks.
The butchers is simply superb - the quality and choice are first class but at least two classes better, the service. Like most things in life, not without it's price though one never regrets the price when the products land on the cooker or plate. Alone the smell when one enters the shop is pleasant - I have memories of butchers having a very strange and unpleasant smell. Boards outside inform from which farms (always local) the various animals come from.
Friends of ours wanted to buy 4 large beef steaks but the butcher while saying he had enough in the cool house, said he couldn't sell it for another few days as it hadn't hung long enough. I wonder how many butchers would do this?
Another part of their service is dog food which they prepare & cook once a week. It's very good value for money but you have to be very lucky to be on the list. We or rather Flash is, so every Tuesday or Wednesday I make the trip.
