On a clear day ...

We stopped off on way down from Pitlochry with HazelH and MrHazelH to climb Benarty Hill: slightly less straightforward than route description as original path had disappeared due to tree felling and new ones were slippy due to to dry conditions.  However any effort expended in getting to the top was worth the effort - the view were stunning. To the north we looked down on Loch Leven which MrT and I had recently circumnavigated with great views up to the Highlands - we could make out Schiehallion and Be Vrackie; to the south the bridges, Arthurs Seat and Pentlands were easy to make out.  A lovely end to a great weekend.
