Allianz Arena

Got to go and see 1860 Munich play St Pauli at the Allianz Arena on the Saturday, which is also known as the 'rubber dinghy.' Going to football game, based on this, is a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We timed it to perfection, sat down with beer and bratwurst 5 minutes before kick off and enjoyed the 9 year olds sat next to us with a pint each to keep them quiet. The game itself was reasonably watchable, St Pauli ran out 2-0 winners and pretty deservedly so due the lack of a midfield in 1860's side. After the game, they even kept the bars open so we were able to buy a pint to stroll back to the U-Bahn station and back into town. Lovely.
