Super sunny Sunday

Sunday 24th June 2018              (backblip)

After some gardening in the morning .... we headed out for a walk ..... we went to a new (to us) 'local' nature reserve ..... Mareham Pastures ....... only a half hour drive away.

So pleased we did .... it's a lovely place ...... wildflower meadows & woodland. It was full of life ....... birds & butterflies everywhere ...... we shall definitely be making a return trip at some point :-)

We saw lots of Sparrows, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, Great Tits, Long-tailed Tit & Goldfinch (pictured)

There were lots of Comma & Small Skipper butterflies (pictured) .... also a Cinnabar moth & Ringlet butterfly ..... neither of which would pose for a photo! Next time hopefully!

There were also a few carvings around the reserve ....... I particularly like this Apple Core (pictured) ..... hope you like my choices :-)
