Stevie and Lesley

We were going to go to Fort William on the train today but we were both very tired from yesterday’s walk so instead we had a lie in and then went to Pitlochry.

We visited the Edradour distillery. The last time I went there we took my Father. He was visiting us for the last time and died not long afterwards. It’s a very small distillery making whisky in the traditional way. We started the tour with two wee drams. Not the best of ideas just before lunch. We of course bought a bottle. The extra is the whisky in the casks. It’s the casks that give it its colour as they have been used previously for sherry.

After lunch we walked around Loch Faskally. A very pleasant walk without too many ascents and descents. As we crossed a bridge to access the other side we noticed that it was covered in padlocks for people’s loved ones.

We are planning a more strenuous walk tomorrow. Will let you know about that tomorrow.
