Sweetly Fragrant

Early in the morning as the birds are feeding, drifts of sweet fragrance is carried through the garden. The rose so small, gently opens in the warmth, unfolding those delicate petals and glowing in the light. Wax-eyes and sparrows come to feed upon the tiny aphids, jostling and flitting with excitment, holding on by their little claws as the bush rustles in the wind.

A lovely spring day today, a bit warmer as our temperature slowly creeps back up to a more respectable 14C, I was hoping for nearer 20C but the breeze put stop to that. A little bit of gardening  and some house jobs done, a phone call from Daughter A - lovely to hear her voice and to know all is well.

Time to put the kettle on for a late afternoon cuppa - hope your've all had a wonderful Thursday :)
