Strawberry Season

Dear Diary,

We have many seasons here in Maine...Fiddlehead Season, Dandelion Season and now it's Strawberry Season!  I got these beauties right down the street where my new goat neighbors live.  They will make a wonderful shortcake for dinner tonight when my dear friend Karen comes for a short visit.

Of course, there is the dreaded Blackfly, Tick and Mosquito Season but most of that is past now and wasn't too bad this year as it turned out.  The next season I am looking forward to is tomato and corn time, that will be later this summer but first is the green bean pick.  Fresh green beans from the garden...mmmm!  I think I am fixating on food this morning!
