Going Really Abstract

Dear Diary,

I seem to be on an roll of finding images that remind me of famous art, like today's Op Art interpretation of ripples on the pond.  Seriously, all I did was to enhance the contrast a bit.  It was a grey day with just diffused light so it was perfect for capturing the ripples and reflections.  It is in color too, I did not desaturate it.  I guess you would say this is a naturally monochromatic image.

I use to do Op Art lessons with my middle school students.  Learning the various are styles was part of our curriculum.  I wonder if one of them saw this sort of thing if they would think about Op Art?  I know it was the first thing that popped into my mind.
