Čiovo Pirouette

We decided to go for a short adventure earlier today.

The aim was a quick trip to a recommended Beach coffee bar on the opposite coast of the island from us.

We are staying on Čiovo in the Adriatic till the end of July.

We jumped in the car and followed Google maps through Žedno to Okrug Gornji, where the road looked (at least in the map) as a single track road to our "target" of the Labadusa beach bar.

The reality was it was more like a track.

What to do?

We needed to be back in Mastrinka for an afternoon meet, so decided to turn around and try again when time (and confidence) might be better suited.

On our way back we stopped on the hill dividing the island to record some dronography.

The Maestral wind blows during the midday hours and the drones remote controller kept flashing up high wind alarms.

Nevertheless, we took the drone to 60 metres, risked the turbulence and managed a reasonable video.

We'll go back again.

We WILL explore the whole of this island!
