Bonus Honeysuckle

This is in among our neighbour's hedge, but we get the benefit of most of the blooms:-)  The downside is that the flowering cherry hedge underneath the honeysuckle grows at a great rate of knots and takes all the light from my study, so TJ has to chop the top off each year!

No word yet from our third time viewers - rude or what?!!  We are assuming that the silence means no, so have discounted them now.  They were apparently concerned about some minor cracks in the harling (roughcast) on the side of the house, which have been there since we moved in and have never got any worse.  It just so happens that our next door neighbour has an expert harling company in at the moment to do her extension, so we asked him to have a look and give us a quote for any work that might need doing.  His answer - "Dinnae bother!!"  He reckons that the cracks are just a feature of these older types of walls, which were covered with harling without any expansion strips.  His professional opinion was that the would-be vendor was "trying it on" to get a price reduction, something we rather suspected ourselves!  So we'll take his advice and leave it well alone:-)
