Wide Wednesday . . . Wood

As luck would have it Annabel choose Melrose House for our coffee and counselling afternoon.  The house was built in 1876 for Charles Watts who had arrived in 1841.  He came as a survey cadet employed by the New Zealand company.   He must have done rather well to be able to build this grand wooden Victorian house. It is now owned by the Nelson City Council for the use of the people.  It is a function centre and cafe.  The gardens are large so I must go back in the spring.  The extra is Annabel framed by wood.  Both our lives are okay at present so there wasn't any need for counselling today :-)
my macro yesterday was the headphones used with the computer.  They were lying on the table just asking to be photographed.
