Heat Breeds Positivity

My blip editor has criticised my negativity and penchant for depressing images after yesterday’s blip of refuse squalor in the Meadows and a fellow blipper has castigated me for being somewhat grumpy.
They may well be right, especially when the news trumpets ‘heatwave’ over the country but neglects to say that Edinburgh and no doubt other parts of the east coast have for several days and weeks been shivering in a maximum 16° of NNE breeze.
Now I can see that that statement is negative because there has been the ODD day when it has been warmer, but only one when the breeze was warm and not decidedly chilly.

However today is a new day, the sun is out, it is warm enough for the sun shade to be up, shorts to be donned and factor50 to be applied to legs and arms.
The fact that the shorts, produced from the depths of the wardrobe, are 4 dress sizes to big and have to be secured by a belt lest they fall off, is of no importance (and even to be congratulated) when all that is being done is sitting outside in the sun and being idle.

To blip something cheery was slightly more difficult to achieve, but I have chosen a flower bedecked house entrance near to the Dower House and, as an extra, a vivid pink display of blooms at the entrance to a church at Holy Corner in Bruntsfield.

Now if the sun and heat are set fair for the rest of the week, I see no difficulty in being cheery and positive. Watch this space!
