Cookie

This is my Dog Niece, Cookie. She and her mom live in Miami and stopped for a quick visit on their road trip to Canada. TARA and Cookie bonded immediately! They played the entire time. Maica lived up to her 'nasty to puppies' reputation and had to be sequestered in a bedroom for the entirety of their visit. Oh well, guess that's a dog thing. 

Baby Opossum Update: Nugget is safely in the hands of compassionate experts. I drove him, through an absolutely horrendous storm, to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. The woman who was there to receive him agreed that he probably had some neurological as well as vision issues. She told me that he was not acting very Possum-like. I know that he'll get the best of care even if he can't be returned to the wild. One of their possums with neuro damage was recently adopted by Disney World to be in one of their ongoing productions. A Star is born! How cool is that?!  
Things happen as they are meant to happen, even though it's often difficult to see that at the time. :)
