Jazz after Dark part 2

There was a lovely couple on honeymoon from the States called Jeremiah and Amy, Amy told me he was a good singer so I got him up on stage and got him to sing Natural Woman to her, later on I sang Nothing Going On But The Rent and made a spectacle of him and he joined in professing his love and promising to work very hard indeed to support her, it was really funny and he did have a really good voice!
Lewis Macleod from Dead Ringers was hilarious as always and great fun.
The hens were good value, luckily they really enjoyed the Bowie and Elton material as well as the more raucous stuff.
Everyone had fun!!!

We got home about 2.30 to find that Zebedee had locked us out! Took us about 15 mins of shouting and banging to finally wake Gulli who came down and took the chain off.... Max went and apologised to the neighbours in the morning....

I’m always very tired the day after this gig, I sing for about 3 hours and it does take it out of me so I had a quiet day doing laundry and pottering about, watched the dark knight with Zebedee.

In the afternoon a lovely lady called Nikki who runs a removals company locally
picked us up and we drove over to Wimbledon to pick up a sofa I found on the Facebook shop, it’s a small 2 seater Leather Chesterfield, very nice young guy who is moving house and doesn’t want to take both the sofas with him, it was a really good price and looks amazing in the living room, I’m sure it will feature in lots of photographs.

We have been moving things around in the house and have created another reception room on the first floor for the kids and the old sofa bed that was in the living room is now up there with a couple of other chairs and all the guitars et cetera and it was very pleasing when three of Gulliver’s friends turned up after school and they just went up there!
