Scotland...

It's been (and still is) another scorcher here. We crossed on the Corran Ferry and made our way to Lochaline. The scenery is spectacular and in Lochaline we watched a ship being loaded with timber. There is a tiny snack bar run by Liz... if you're ever this way try one of her venison burgers, delicious.

We visited Kiel Church to have a look at the amazing collection of Celtic carved stones and coffin lids. We met a couple from South Australia who were there looking for the grave of an ancestor who moved to Australia because of the highland clearances.

The photo above is a remote ancient Ash Tree with Ben Nevis in the far distance. The extras are graves and a ruined burial enclosure in the Kiel Churchyard and a group of ancient Oak Trees.
