A rose surprise

When I made myself a late afternoon cup of tea, I discovered that the milk had turned.  Since I can't start the day without my tea, especially on my Saturday volunteer day, I headed out to Central Market to pick up the milk and a couple of other things.  I parked in an area I hadn't used before, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that there was a bed of simple roses.  Obviously I missed their peak season, as you can see from the many empty husks, but it was lovely to see them.  There were some begonias, too.  It was a nice ending to a day of vertigo.
