Cascais

A new adventure today as we walked down to the station to take a train to Cascais. Th journey was about 30 minutes and was all along the coastline. We arrived fairly early in Cascais and had a walk around including the marina which is of fairly recent construction. There looks to be a lot of money in Cascais and lots of very expensive boats.
It was a warm day and people were enjoying the beaches. We had lunch on a nice bar overlooking a small beach. I was not sure about the menu, but as it turned out this was the best lunch I had during our stay in Portugal. After lunch we walked along the beachside walk until we got to Estoril. Here we had a drink in a beach front bar until we got the train back to Lisbon.
On our return to Lisbon we had a couple of drinks in our usual bar before returning to the hotel. This evening we had dinner in the hotel. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and the service is impeccable. For me the highlight of the meal was the steak tartar which was really really nice.
