River Crossing

Today is the first day of the Stratford River Festival. Pete is visiting for the weekend so after meeting Ann out from the Blue Cross we had a spot of lunch in Pret then walked down to the river. It was absolutely heaving, the hot weather had brought people out in droves, it was so busy the footbridge, Tramway Bridge, across the river had been laned off and people were queuing to get on it.

We stayed on the north bank and walked along to the ferry. There was a fairly long queue for that too so we found a shady spot and sat to watch the river and people.
