Waste not want not!

After dead heading the roses this morning, I created this impromptu centrepiece for an alfresco lunch, by floating the rose petals in a glass bowl of water. As a child I used to soak rose petals in water to create “perfume”. Thankfully I’ve since discovered Chanel!

Such a hot, muggy day, 30 degrees, but heavily overcast. Have been hoping for some rain for the garden all day, but, despite the cloud, as yet not a drop. Had planned on heading to the coast tomorrow, but have decided that would be too much and too far in this heat, so a gentle, shady Bus Challenge is in the offing...
