How many objects can you see?

A leisurely day once I’d got back from a hot early morning run along Stokes Bay. Legs were leaden, probably owing to the first run on Friday since being poorly as well as pushing Doreen some 3 miles in the wheelchair along the front at Southsea.

We went for lunch at Aimee and Lewis’s, Stella’s daughter and partner. A very pleasant afternoon in their back garden. They’re off to Dubai in August for a couple of years. Aimee, who is a teacher, has a Special Needs Coordinator’s job and Lewis hopes to find a job once they are over there. What an adventure!

Before we set off back to Kent we walked down to Stanley Park (not the famous one that’s in Vancouver) to see this rather fine wood carving on an old tree. We’ve several of these in the Woodland Trust in Bearsted. You have to admire the vision and skill of the artist who created this carving.

A much better journey home. M25 was benign for a change. The A3 was the one misbehaving. Fifteen minutes later than anticipated but rather quicker than the outward journey.
