Through the vineyards

A lovely morning walk from Savigny through the vinejyards to the wine village of Pernand Verglasses and a return through the woods and village to the campsite where we believed the cafe was open. It was 1pm and we were tired and thirsty in 35C and discovered that it was closed between 12 and 2pm. Another long walk back to the car and a short drive to the hypermarket to buy picnic lunch h.

A good formative degustation this evening at the domain of the Grand cru wine growers where we are staying.

Another long walk to a hotel on the outskirts of the village where we had a great meal and local wine sitting in their gardens appreciating
the shade after a very hot day.
