Bergen

Arrived early  in Bergen and we got up to watch the views as we passed along the fjord - following another ship along the channel (in extras). It was a glorious sunny day and pleasantly warm.

We got off the ship and walked into town (about 10 minutes) and arrived at Bryggen Wharf - an historical set of buildings that formed the old port.

It was very crowded as there were five cruise ships in today, so we wandered off to the back of the buildings and then into town, stopping for coffee on the way.

We eventually decided to brave the queue for the funicular railway - The Fløibanen. It still took over an hour to get on the train - but the views from the top were spectacular. An extra of three cruise ships (including ours with the red funnel) in the harbour. We had refreshments at the top and met some goats wandering around - signs everywhere saying no to feed them, but they obviously failed to tell the goats who were trying to steal picnics from folk sitting on the bench - extra shot.

The main shot is of the cable car as it approached the top station before we descended.

A final extra of the Queen Elizabeth as we walked back before boarding.

We have just departed - and now have a glorious evening to view teh fjord as we sail away
