Commas Are So Accomodating ....

.... so I've blipped a drone fly. :)

Butterflies were out in force today. I got lots of shots of the comma in extras. These are quite easy to capture, they return repeatedly to the same perch and sit still while one shoots. This one is on a heart-shaped leaf of black bryony. 

Drone flies are a bit more difficult. They hover tantalisingly then suddenly dart off at a tangent. I think mine is a male displaying for the benefit of the ladies. It is flying over an area of grass that has gone to seed, beloved of skipper butterflies.
